Embraced by the Dark

When the moon is new
she invites us to question
what is it our soul truly needs?

And looking within
heart wisdom rises up
to intentionally plant the seeds.

In the darkness,
I know my light
eternally guiding the way.

Dance to the rhythm
that guides all life:
birth, growth, death, decay.

Under the black velvet
blanket of stars
I am embraced by the dark.

Nothing to fear
as I follow the path
lit from my divine inner spark.

How would you answer
if someone did ask,
Are you afraid of the night?

I hope that dear sister,
you would say no,
for that is when dreams take flight.
