Women are more likely to pave their own career path

We are now re-imagining and re-defining what leadership looks like and what leadership NEEDS to be in the 21st century. And I see women at the forefront of this global shift.
This is a shift in consciousness AND implementation. We cannot simply sit around, talking and posting about “the rise of feminine power” or how “the world needs more women in leadership” and not actually put it into ACTION.
When your soul calls you to stand up, speak up, and rise up — it can be scary. I get it. Moving out of our comfort zone and towards your potential brings you face to face with the subconscious limits and judgments your inner critic carries.
“I’m not ready.”
“I’ll be mocked or misunderstood.”
“I don’t know enough.”
“I might fail.”
Do any of these sound familiar??
Women not only face more external barriers if they reach for positions of authority and leadership, but far more INTERNAL barriers as well. We have been conditioned to mute our successes, aim lower, and hold ourselves back.
This is why today, more than 3 decades after college graduations and entry-level jobs became gender balanced, less than 5% of CEO positions in USA, CAN, UK and Europe are held by women.
Not that everyone wants to be a CEO of a large corporation, of course.
Many women today who have felt discouraged from climbing the corporate ladder have opted to start their OWN companies or work as freelancers. According to a recent study conducted by Small Biz Trends in the USA, 72% of all home based businesses are started by women.
These statistics show that women are more likely to carve their own path to create meaningful work for themselves.
